
The FW562 series are intelligent ventilation duct detectors designed for use with model FW511A detector heads. The FW562-A/B/C models are UL-listed according to UL 268A, and FW562C-A/B/C models are ULC-listed according to ULC-S529 for fire protection systems. Equipped with photoelectric smoke detection technology, these units signal the presence of dangerous combustion products in ventilation systems, compatible with Maple Armor's FW105, FW106, FW106C, FW106S, and FW106SC control panels. Each model is optimized for specific air velocity and pressure differential ranges: A models for high velocity (2000-4000 ft/min), B models for medium velocity (700-2000 ft/min or 1000-2000 ft/min depending on listing), and C models for low velocity (300-700 ft/min or 300-1000 ft/min depending on listing). Operating on 24 VDC nominal voltage with 0.35mA standby current and 2mA alarm current, the duct detector assemblies include exhaust tubes and sampling tubes (ordered separately based on duct size). The units mount on HVAC ducts via side or top installation and operate reliably in temperatures from 32°F to 100°F and humidity from 0% to 93% RH.
