FW831 Relay Module

The FW831 relay module provides two control relay outputs that activate simultaneously, with the device LED indicating event conditions through red blinking during activation. The intelligent, addressable module takes one address on the signaling line circuit (SLC) or data communication link (DCL) of the fire alarm control panel and is UL-listed according to UL864 and ULC-S527 for fire protective signaling systems and indoor use. Upon return to normal condition, the event disappears and the device LED indicator returns to red idle condition. Operating on 24 VDC nominal voltage (15-28 VDC range) with minimal current draw of 0.15mA standby and 0.26mA active, the module provides two Form C relay contacts rated for 30 VDC at 2A with 0.35 power factor. The module mounts in FW800/FW801 surface boxes or flush-mounts on 4x4 inch electrical boxes, accommodating 12-18 AWG wiring. Measuring 120mm x 120mm x 45mm and weighing 9.0 oz with backbox, the relay module operates reliably in temperatures from 32°F to 120°F and humidity from 0% to 93% RH, providing programmable relay control for notification appliances, HVAC systems, door holders, and other fire safety system integration requirements.
