FW811 Input Module

Maple Armor
FW811

Product Summary

The FW811 input module monitors a single contact with supervision for open line faults and ground faults, requiring end-of-line resistor wiring. The intelligent, addressable module takes one address on the signaling line circuit (SLC) or data communication link (DCL) of the fire alarm control panel and is UL/ULC listed according to UL864 and ULC-S527 for fire protective signaling systems and indoor use, plus FM approved. The device red LED indicates event conditions, and the module's function is fully configurable through the control panel. Configurable as alarm causing, supervisory, trouble, or monitor causing input, the module provides flexible signaling options. Alarm causing inputs produce latched alarm events requiring reset, while supervisory and monitor inputs can be configured as latched or non-latched. Trouble inputs are always non-latched. Operating on 24 VDC nominal voltage (15-28 VDC range) with 0.17mA standby current and 0.79mA alarm current, the module handles maximum line impedance of 25 ohms and grounding impedance of 6.6K ohms. Compatible with FW421 10K ohm end-of-line resistors, the unit mounts in FW800/FW801 surface boxes with 12-18 AWG wiring and operates reliably in temperatures from 32°F to 120°F and humidity from 0% to 93% RH.
