The FW971G horn is an audible signal appliance listed according to UL 464 and ULC-S525 for indoor use.
The temporal tone generated by the horn is designed per ANSI and NFPA 72 for standard emergency evacuation signaling requirements, providing clear, recognizable alarm signals. The horn features synchronization capability allowing multiple horns throughout a complete fire alarm system to sound in unison for consistent notification. Operating on 16-33 VDC/FWR regulated voltage with current draw of 35mA DC or 47mA FWR, the unit produces sound levels from 77-85 dBA (UL reverberant) or 85-91 dBA (ULC anechoic) at varying voltages.
The horn provides excellent directional characteristics with minimal sound level drop across both horizontal and vertical axes. Available in red or white finish, the device mounts on FW900/FW901 notification appliance bases with 12-18 AWG wiring. Operating reliably in temperatures from 32°F to 120°F and humidity from 0% to 93% RH, the horn is compatible with FW951 sync modules and FW105/FW106 control panels for wall or ceiling installation.
